Taking care of the department is like taking care of a baby, you have to be very cautious while handling it. The journey so far has been smooth and hassle free, working with a group of very talented core teams and co union members, delivering desired results, I have personally felt a revolution in the department and my own self. With an aim to work for the department in whatever capacity I can, I decide to strive along my co union members for the holistic development of the department in my tenure.

STATISTICS UNION 2018-19
PALAK RAHEJA, PRESIDENT
(BATCH OF 2019)
"Wanting to bring about a small change, in whatever capacity I could, is what motivated me towards becoming a member of the Department Union. From the very day of organizing the farewell, to the day of our very last event, from trying to make the most of 15 minute breaks to waiting till 6 in college, all moments and days have been amazing learning experiences and have helped me grow everyday. With our small family and co-operative teachers, this journey has been great so far, and I'm sure it will continue to remain so even in the future."
RISHU JAIN, GENERAL SECRETARY
(BATCH OF 2020)
"From multitasking to earning a peaceful sleep after successful completion of an event, from waiting to get things sanctioned to taking a sigh of relief after an approval, I am loving each and every second of being a part of the Department union. I am pretty sure that the enriching experiences that I have with the kind teachers and students of our department, will make this year one of the best chapters of the story of my life."
ANUSHKA BAID, TREASURER
(BATCH OF 2020)
"Transforming from a girl dependent on her parents, who would spend without keeping a track of her expenses, would be scared to travel alone and would get annoyed at small things to a responsible and independent woman who now maintains a spreadsheet of expenses, can handle a group of 60 people along with her own travel and is more patient while handling situations, I have found my 'Magic of LSR' here in Delhi, away from my city of joy, under the caring shades of our supportive department teachers and cooperative students."

STATISTICS UNION 2017-18
JESSICA THAKUR, PRESIDENT
(BATCH OF 2018)
"I had always been scared of taking up leadership positions and responsibilities. However, LSR was a game changer for me. I was skeptical about contesting for the elections but I’m glad that I did as it was truly an inflexion point in my life. I transformed from a timid girl to a confident woman, who can not only stand up for herself but for others, who can take decisions in the best interest of her people and can micro manage tasks while facing the odds. Being the President was undoubtedly the most beautiful experience of college as it not only helped me grow but gave me some amazing friends! The position taught me more than I could ever imagine. It has given me memories that I will celebrate for a long time."
RASHI MURARKA, GENERAL SECRETARY
(BATCH OF 2019)
"I believe that our potential is limited by our imagination, and with this belief I imagined our department's potential to be limitless, thrived to turn this into reality, achieved what I had set out to do, and received the best possible thing in return, the power to believe in myself and show others how to do the same. This feeling will always stay beyond the walls of LSR and I'll carry it with me with pride wherever I go forthwith."
ANANYA AGARWAL, TREASURER
(BATCH OF 2019)
"LSR is one of the top colleges in the country not just because of its academic superiority but also because of the opportunities it offers for the personal growth of a woman. I experienced this first hand when I was selected for the post of Treasurer for the Statistics Department. Liasioning with the students and the authorities gave me insight of how a department functions and made me feel as a part of something bigger. This post helped me form new bonds which I will cherish for a long time and I learnt an immense deal during my tenure."
STATISTICS UNION 2016-17
BHAWANA LAL, PRESIDENT
(BATCH OF 2017)
"The journey was in itself a whole new world. A mixed bag of extreme emotions, but what I learnt from it will be carried by me not just as student of this prestigious institution and department, but as a human in the arduous and challenging journey of life."
TRISHA KRISHNAN, GENERAL SECRETARY
(BATCH OF 2018)
"Being a part of the department union gave me a sense of belonging in college. It was the perfect opportunity to grow as a leader, team player and build strong bonds that will last a lifetime!"
SHIVALLI ARUN, TREASURER
(BATCH OF 2018)
"Being a teasurer was one of the best experiences I ever had in college. It was a whole lot of new learning and beginning. Together as a team we dreamt of an idea and later we all worked towards the goal as a whole department. I'm still thankful for the opportunity I had and I wish the department of statistics gets even better with each passing year."
STATISTICS UNION 2015-16
ALISHA BEOTRA, PRESIDENT
(BATCH OF 2016)
"Being President of the Department back in 2015-16 is still the most memorable experience of my life. The key takeaway from the entire year was getting to revive and organise Moments after a span of almost 8 years. LSR, the Stats Department and the experience of managing all the events through the year definitely helped me learn all the possible skills one would need to have in the early stages of their career, which is what I use till date and if I had a choice to go back in time and relive it, I'd take it in the blink of an eye."
PALLAVI BHALLA, GENERAL SECRETARY
(BATCH OF 2017)
RITIKA CHOWDHARY, TREASURER
(BATCH OF 2017)
"The experience of being a part of the Stats union was great. We had our share of agreements and disagreements. But we managed to organise ‘Moments’ after a gap of 9 years!"
